The platform
SALTO replaces mechanical locks with smart electronic locks that talk to each other wirelessly. Two platforms sit behind them, and the right one depends on how your property runs — which is exactly what the site assessment is for.
Everything lives online. Grant or revoke access from a browser or phone anywhere with a connection, and changes reach the locks in real time. The usual fit for properties with remote managers, guest turnover, or several buildings.
Permissions travel on the credential itself and update as it is used at reader points around the property. No ongoing connectivity needed, which suits buildings where network coverage is thin.
Hardware
Openings differ. A ski-locker gate, a fire-rated stairwell door, and a unit entry all want different devices.
Battery-powered escutcheons and handle sets that replace the lock already on the door — XS4 Original+, Mini, One S, and the Ælement range. Wire-free on most ANSI preparations.
DBolt Touch and DBolt Touch IC, replacing compatible mechanical deadbolts on residential and unit entry doors.
The SALTO Neo range — mortise, rim, deadbolt, cam lock, and Swiss profile. Drop-in replacements for openings where a full lock swap is overkill.
Neoxx armored padlocks for gates and utility areas, plus locker locks for ski storage and shared amenity lockers.
Design XS, Modular XS, Glass XS, and long-distance readers for main entries, elevators, turnstiles, and parking gates.
CU4000 controllers, BLUEnet door controllers, gateways, nodes, and repeaters — the backbone that carries changes out to the locks in real time.
Door and window sensors, face-recognition terminals, and credential-activated room power for hospitality and rental spaces.
Cards, fobs, wristbands, stickers, and mobile keys — including renewable-material and paper guest cards for short stays.
System design
Most access-control regret traces back to a system that was sold before anyone understood the building. We start with a door schedule — every opening, its current hardware, who needs through it, and when.
From there the design covers device selection per opening, how credentials are grouped, what schedules apply to each group, and where gateways need to sit for reliable wireless coverage.

An access system is not a one-time purchase. Batteries run down, staff turn over, doors get added, and someone eventually locks themselves out of the mechanical room at 7am.

FAQ
What property managers usually want to know before an assessment.
No. SALTO systems are designed to be phased. Most properties start with the doors that cause the most work — main entries, staff housing, mechanical rooms — and add units later. Everything joins the same platform as it comes online.
The locks are battery powered and hold their permissions on the device, so they keep working through an outage. Changes you make in the dashboard sync back once the connection returns.
That is the reason we specify carefully. Cold, condensation, and heavy seasonal traffic all shorten hardware life, so exterior openings get devices rated for it rather than whatever is cheapest on the shelf.
Yes. Credentials can live on a card, a fob, or a smartphone, and you can mix them across one property — staff on fobs, guests on mobile, vendors on time-limited cards.
Seconds to make, and same day to get to you. Access is granted or revoked from the dashboard — the delay most properties run into is not the software, it is waiting on whoever administers it.
Yes — that is most of our work. Plenty of Copper buildings already have SALTO hardware that nobody is actively administering. In most cases the existing locks stay exactly where they are; what changes is who manages them and how fast you get a response.
